
Pete Vavrinek, horn, has been performing in the Toledo area since 1986. He started piano lessons at age nine, began trumpet, and soon was enjoying the horn. Honors include Principal Horn positions in the Eastern Michigan University Honors Band, Michigan Intercollegiate Honors Band, the Arion Foundation Award for outstanding musical achievement and numerous awards at district and state competitions. Pete studied piano from Sister Magdelena Ezoe of Sienna Heights College, Dr. Richard Goolian of Adrian College and Dr. Dai Uk Lee of Michigan State University while playing horn in all formations of musical ensemble. He has performed in the Toledo, Adrian and Perrysburg Symphonies, University of Toledo, Bowling Green and Sylvania Community Orchestras and has played with the Village Brass, Old West End Brass Quintet, Adrian College Brass Quintet as well as many musical productions at venues like The Croswell Opera House. Pete graduated from Adrian College with a Bachelor of Business Administration, earned his CPA license, served 5 years in public accounting with Ernst & Young, LLP and is currently employed by Campbell, Inc., Heating & Cooling Services, as the Chief Financial Officer.
