Jason Jordan, tuba, is the Instructor of Tuba and Euphonium at The University of Toledo and Owens Community College Fine and Performing Arts Center. He received his master’s degree in tuba performance at Bowling Green State University, where he also received his bachelor degree in music education. Jason is originally from Chicago, Illinois, where he was principal tubist in the Metropolitan Youth Symphony, DuPage Youth Symphony, and the All-Illinois Honor Band. He has also performed with the Bowling Green Symphony Orchestra and the Perrysburg Symphony Orchestra.  He was the 1999-2000 Bowling Green State University "Brass Student of the Year" as well as a finalist in the 2000 BGSU Concerto Competition.  In May of 2002, Jason was a finalist in the Artist Solo Tuba Division of the 2002 International Tuba and Euphonium Competition. He was the featured soloist with the Greenville Municipal Band in their summer concert season in 2002.  Jason can be heard as part of the ensemble that recorded "The Composer's Voice" under the label Albany Records (Troy 321).
